Senior/Lead Automation QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Automation QA Engineer to join our team at WE ARE META.

About the Role

This is a remote position based in Portugal, requiring a strong background in automation testing and leadership experience. As a Senior/Lead Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, building and managing CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks using Playwright for end-to-end testing.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in automation testing and BDD test writing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in automation QA.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Java.
  • Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Experience in BDD test writing using Java (super-skilled level).
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding teams.
  • Fluent English language skills.
