About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join an Agile team building scalable, cloud-native applications. You will work with Java and Spring Boot, design and deliver microservices, and contribute to modern architectures deployed in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This role requires strong backend engineering fundamentals, experience with API design, and the ability to build reliable services in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot;

- Build and evolve microservices-based architectures;

- Designand implement secure and scalable REST APIs;

- Deployand operate services on Kubernetes in cloud environments (GCP/AWS);

- Work with SQL-based data sources and support integration with other storage solutions;

- Apply Agile practices and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams;

- Contribute to technical decisions, code quality, and continuous improvement;

- Implement reactive services when required using WebFlux / Mono.

Required Experience & Skills:

- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java;

- Stronghands-on experience with Spring Boot;

- Provenexperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related services;

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture;

- Experience with Kubernetes;

- Strongexperience in API design and RESTful services;

- Experience working in Agile development environments;

- Experience with reactive Java (WebFlux / Mono);

- English B2

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with workflow engines such as Camunda (or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker)
- Experience with cloud scheduled jobs / functions / activities
- Proficient with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
