This will significantly increase your chances of success Role Overview We are looking for a senior Oracle Database Technical Specialist to provide Level 3 database support for mission-critical systems within a Custody environment. This role is responsible for ensuring database reliability, performance, and best practices across development, testing, and production environments. The professional will work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors, supporting ongoing improvements, upcoming developments, and operational stability in a global, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Projects & Change Management Gather and document technical requirements for system enhancements and updates Drive the change request process, ensuring alignment between business and technical needs Lead technical testing activities to validate changes and ensure smooth production deployments Own and execute assigned initiatives end to end, tracking progress and deliverables Monitor project timelines and proactively escalate risks or delays Identify system gaps, inefficiencies, or weaknesses and propose actionable improvements Enforce and communicate technical and project standards Independently prioritize and manage assigned projects Liaise with business stakeholders, developers, and vendors, providing regular status updates Database Support & Operations Provide Level 3 database support, including root-cause analysis and permanent fixes Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, such as: Application performance bottlenecks High CPU and memory utilization Query and application performance tuning Evaluate alternative solutions and workarounds to minimize operational impact Monitor database infrastructure, including availability, disk usage, logs, backups, and network alerts Support global teams across different regions and time zones Manage application databases, including: Software installation and patching Data import/export and ETL processes Development of ad-hoc and scheduled reports Perform routine DBA activities, such as: Backup and recovery management User access and security administration Database health checks and proactive tuning Technical Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Database 12c / 19c (mandatory) Experience with other databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server) is a plus Proven skills in performance optimization, including index tuning and query optimization Experience with database lifecycle management, including data cleanup, archival, purging, and automation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into documentation, diagrams, and reports Experience contributing to IT infrastructure planning, sizing, and implementation Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment Language Requirements English: Fluent (written and spoken) – mandatory Soft Skills Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities Ability to adapt to changing priorities and cross-functional collaboration Clear and structured communication skills Strong sense of ownership, rigor, and responsibility CI - PROC25686
