We’ve recently opened our new office in Lisbon, and we’re excited to grow our team in a city known for its vibrant culture and international talent. We're looking for an experienced Accountant who can manage our bookings and expenses, support strategic decision-making, and ensure compliance with Portuguese tax regulations. Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping Prepare and record accurate accounting entries for our European entities. Manage intercompany transactions and cost reinvoicing. Reconcile operating expenses and provide budget vs. actual reports. Deliver project health reports and overall P&L analysis. Tax Compliance Process payroll and ensure tax compliance for our European subsidiaries. Maintain ledgers in full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Ensure accurate VAT reporting and filings, especially for Portuguese operations. Expense Reconciliation Audit travel and non-travel expenses in line with local tax laws and company policies. Ensure all reimbursements are supported by proper documentation (invoices, receipts, etc.). Performance Management Monitor financial performance across departments. Provide KPI analysis and performance reports for local and HQ management. Support forecasting and strategic financial planning. Qualifications University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. 2–3 years of experience in Controlling or similar roles. Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent understanding of Portuguese tax laws and VAT implications for digital services. Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards. Fluent in English (written and spoken) – mandatory. Ability to prepare for and coordinate audits.
