Planning Lead Portugal Tier 1 Main Contractor Data Center Project Background We are seeking an experienced Planning Lead to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects within the data centre sector. This position is responsible for driving robust planning strategies from bid stage through to project completion, while supporting project teams, senior leadership, and clients with clear, data-driven programme controls. What’s on Offer Opportunity to contribute to major projects within the growing data centre sector Clear pathways for career progression and professional development Competitive salary and benefits package Collaborative, team-focused working environment Strong pipeline of future projects offering long-term stability Key Responsibilities Develop bid and tender programmes aligned with commercial and delivery strategies Create, manage, and update detailed construction schedules and project control processes Work closely with Project Directors and site teams to implement effective planning strategies Track progress and present clear programme updates to senior leadership Support business development activities and engage with new and existing clients Liaise with stakeholders to review progress, identify risks, and drive proactive solutions Prepare schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases Manage programme resource requirements across multiple projects Implement planning tools to support timely and efficient project delivery Produce performance reports identifying variances and corrective actions Represent planning in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings Lead, mentor, and coordinate planning team members across projects Key Skills Required Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline Minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction planning, with a main contractor Strong proficiency in planning and BIM software, with experience using Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6 highly desirable Proven experience working on large-scale projects. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
