We are looking for an experienced Data Cloud Platform Architect to design, optimize, and scale data platforms in a dynamic, cloud‑driven environment. Working Model: Porto - (Hybrid) Minimum experience required: 10+ years working with AWS data services (and exposure to Azure). Key Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Strong expertise with AWS data services and hands‑on experience with Azure data services. Proven experience developing Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) for data platform deployment. Solid track record leading large-scale data migration and optimization projects. Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL, including prototyping and defining coding standards. Experience with Iceberg tables and large-scale dataset management. Ability to design scalable, efficient, cloud-native data architectures on AWS. Experience with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions). Knowledge of ETL tools and large‑volume data processing; Kafka experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to define and enforce data governance and security standards. Ability to define data engineering standards through PoCs and production‑grade prototypes. Responsible for establishing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for data workloads. Familiarity with Azure Databricks (nice advantage). Fluency in Portuguese and English (C1+ level). Nice to Have: Knowledge of Apache Flink, Kafka, and other streaming technologies. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud technologies. Experience with Dataiku. Main Responsibilities: Architect scalable, secure, high‑performance cloud data platforms. Lead platform modernization initiatives and large-scale data migrations. Develop and maintain Terraform templates and IaC frameworks for deployment. Define coding standards and produce prototypes and PoCs for data engineering solutions. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines dedicated to data workloads. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on governance, security, and architecture. Optimize data flows, ingestion patterns, and orchestration strategies. Provide technical leadership across AWS data tooling, large datasets, and distributed systems.
