They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements. Your main tasks Responsible for 1 or more assembly processes assigned 1 or more projects Define quality controls needed to assure product quality if not possible by process inputs. Perform tolerance calculation activities (with Product Eng) to identify and correct product dimensions and tolerances according to process limitations. Develop the PFMEA for the assigned assembly processes within the projects. Actively participate in PFMEA activities of existing processes and is responsible to provide expertise in the owned processes. Plan and execute process development activities according to the Machine Readiness Level (MRL) results in the project lifetime, if part of a Project Management Team. Participate in design reviews with the suppliers. Extreme focus on the processes, process quality and process deliverables (MSA, Cmk etc.). Demonstrated focus in correct budget execution on the projects where is involved. Define process settings for the processes under development, supported by process specialists if needed. Responsible for creation and update of Process Specifications document, of the Star Point processes Define process and machine requirements for the specific assigned assembly processes that will be inputs for Technical Specification Booklet for the project Build standard work instructions (SWI) to be able to produce and set-up the assembly processes. Responsible for inputs for the process failure catalogue improvement. Responsible for full process validation, ensuring the deliverables of MSA (Type I, II and III), Cmk (and cpk), process parameters, etc. Ensure all Key Process Indicators (KPI's) inside targets defined in TSB and Plant KPI's, until process release for serial production, for new processes developed. Owner of Scrap and Quality KPIs Ownership of Process Shop equipment, for the Star Point processes Actively participate in Internal Training Academy, with knowledge sharing about technical and procedure topics. Critical mindset in component evaluation: aware on evaluating if the components are meeting the process requirements (dimensional, material and functional). Work with VSE engineer to inform suppliers. Focus mindset on problem solving Your ideal background Bachelor or Master of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or comparative 1 year as engineering automotive, preferably process engineering or manufacturing engineering of electronic or electromechanical components Good knowledge of statistics and methodical proceeding (Six Sigma or Red X) Preferably knowledge automotive standards (APQP, TS16949) Strong ability to work independently and for teamwork Strong engagement, flexibility and resilience, "hands on" Good knowledge of standards MS applications (Word, Excel, MS Project) Strong in communication English at business level Open to new ideas and innovative.
