Senior Product Owner

Job Type: PermanentBuild a brilliant future with Hiscox   The role: The Senior Product Owner sits within the Hiscox iHUB team and will work for the Head of Product shaping and delivering the strategy to develop new products and take existing products to new markets.   You will work in close collaboration with Change, IT and Underwriting professionals across all Business Units to create and coordinate the execution of our product roadmap.  Often, you will directly build new products in a low/no code platform and deploy them into Business Units.  Alternatively, you will develop clear specifications of product design and rating and coordinate execution by local Change teams. Products will be launched at pace and undergo frequent iteration post launch.  You will agree robust operating practices to provide initial support to Business Units and effective handover to local teams at an appropriate point of maturity.  You will identify opportunities to streamline the product development process with a bias to speed and efficiency of build.  You will create scalable, reusable product structures that minimise the need for rework within local markets.  You'll be someone who enjoys making things happen and consider stakeholder management one of your strengths, with the ability to effectively engage with both business and technical stakeholders.  You like to be an empowered decision maker, able to prioritise, and can quickly establish where time needs to be invested to drive business value, providing cost effective solutions to the business in line with the overarching strategy. The Senior Product Owner is empowered to make decisions around priority, scope and requirements driving stakeholder engagement, ensuring they are clear on customer needs ensuring a continuous flow of value from the team. What you'll be doing: Assist the Head of Product in coordinating the delivery of the iHUB product roadmap. Building and launch of new products and extending existing products into new markets Align to product design and governance processes across the business units. Engage with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to understand requirements and priorities and provide effective support and handover with local business change teams. Be a key point of contact for the product within the group, managing the escalation of delivery blockers and facilitating clear communication between all parties. Leading a team of product analysts ensuring efficient, high-quality output in requirements, design and build. Value Delivery: Accountable for the outcomes of the activity, developing within your team or working closely with business unit development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Lead the functional design process, demonstrating a deep understanding of users, business workflows and technologies. Monitor and measure product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimise value Researching and benchmarking digital capabilities of other businesses Customer-Centric Innovation: Incorporate customer feedback into product improvements and innovation. Advocate for the end-user experience in every decision, ensuring our products meet customer needs and expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other business units and change initiatives to identify synergies and dependencies. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and agile practices within the team and across the Hiscox group. Our must haves: Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally within insurance, financial services, or a comparable industry. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering customer and business value.
