My client is a leading global organisation committed to making a meaningful difference through innovative initiatives and transformative strategies. They are now seeking a highly experienced Change Director to join their team in Lisbon and lead impactful change initiatives within a global enterprise.

Role Overview

As Change Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving and managing strategic change initiatives across my client's international enterprise. This is an individual contributor role that will focus on designing and implementing effective human capital and organisational transformation strategies. Your expertise in change management and consulting, coupled with your ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders, will help shape the future of my client's business operations globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Change Leadership: Drive large-scale organisational change initiatives, including restructures, team redeployments, and other associated duties.
  • Human Capital Transformation: Partner with HR teams to design and implement change strategies that enhance employee engagement, optimise workforce effectiveness, and foster a culture of adaptability.
  • Consulting Expertise: Leverage your consulting background to develop tailored change frameworks and methodologies for enterprise-level projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align change initiatives with business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
  • PROSCI Methodology: Apply PROSCI-certified change management practices to plan and execute structured change programmes effectively.
  • Technology Enablement: Support tech-enabled transformations, ensuring new systems and tools are adopted successfully across the organisation.
  • Performance Metrics: Define success metrics and monitor the impact of change initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Global Perspective: Work with international teams and adapt strategies to diverse cultural and business contexts.

Key Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale organisational change initiatives, including restructures, redeployment, and redundancy management.
  • Strong consulting background, ideally with experience in a Big 4 firm.
  • Expertise in designing and executing human capital transformation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with PROSCI or equivalent change management methodologies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills within complex, matrixed organisations.
  • International experience and cultural adaptability.
  • Familiarity with technology-enabled change initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage diverse teams.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience: 12-15 years of experience in change management, with a strong foundation in consulting (Big 4 preferred).
  • Expertise: Proven track record in managing human capital projects, organisational restructuring, and complex HR change programmes.
  • Certification: PROSCI certification is highly advantageous.
  • Client Base: Experience working with international and enterprise-level clients.
  • Leadership: Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive outcomes in a matrixed environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and gain buy-in from diverse audiences.
  • Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to global cultural differences and the ability to adapt change approaches accordingly.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
