Job Overview

The Commercial Finance Specialist role is responsible for overseeing internal day-to-day Financial and Business Controlling & Analytics operations in our Commercial function in Lisbon.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead financial controlling on P/L and BS, and various product groups, areas, countries, and brands.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure the accuracy of IP (Intercompany Profit) elimination processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to conduct business controlling, explain simple deviations, and identify their causes.
  • Manage monthly Business Summary Review (BSR) reports and provide insights to contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare, transform, and upload forecast data into financial planning software (Jedox) based on consolidating input from different systems.
  • Support Finance Business Partners in Commercial with reports/presentation preparation (ad-hoc).
  • Proactively raise issues/concerns if any which can impact the performance of activities within timelines.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes to improve business controlling efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Accuracy of financial controlling and business controlling processes.
  • Timely completion of BSR reports and analysis.
  • Effective collaboration with Finance Business Partners and other departments.
  • Identification of opportunities for process improvement and implementation of streamlined processes.
