We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at Leadership & Sustainability in Portugal.
Job OverviewThis is a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data collected during social and labor assessments within global supply chains. The successful candidate will conduct detailed reviews and on-site inspections of facilities to verify compliance with SLCP standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct On-Site Inspections: Visit facilities to cross-check data and interview stakeholders for accurate verification, utilizing strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Prepare Reports: Draft detailed reports highlighting findings, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, demonstrating excellent communication and writing skills.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with facility management and workers to facilitate the verification process and provide feedback, leveraging strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to SLCP protocols and ethical standards, staying updated on industry best practices and maintaining proficiency in report writing and documentation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- C1-level proficiency in English, as well as fluency in Portuguese.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in social compliance auditing, labor standards verification, or a similar field, preferably with prior experience working with SLCP or other social compliance frameworks.
- A strong understanding of labor standards, social compliance, and supply chain issues, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
This role offers:
- An estimated salary of €55,000 - €65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
