Job Description
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer - Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our client's team in Portugal. As the primary point of contact for regulatory matters, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Portuguese online gambling regulation, tracking regulatory evolutions and informing business decisions accordingly.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) - the Portuguese gambling regulator.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to SRIJ, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Roll out compliance training across key functions within the company.
- Produce clear and actionable interpretations of relevant rules for business units.
- Review and validate the compliance of key projects, detecting and mitigating non-compliance incidents.

Requirements
- Native Portuguese speaker with full fluency in English (written and oral).
- Master's degree in Law, Political Sciences, or Business/Audit (preferably).
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with significant prior experience in gambling or a related regulated industry.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to absorb complexity and be pragmatic.
