About the RoleAudit and Regulatory Financial Reporting Associate
The Audit and Regulatory Financial Reporting team plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate completion of audited financial statements for nearly 1200 separate legal entities. As an Associate, you will work closely with vendors, including external audit firms, third-party general partners, and fund administrators, to manage audit processes and resolve any arising issues.
Responsibilities- Review annual audited financial statements and notes to the financial statements prepared according to US GAAP, IFRS, and/or Luxembourg legal & regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and lead audit planning and status meetings with fund administrators, third-party general partners, and external audit firms.
- Identify and resolve audit-related issues as they arise and communicate effectively with the manager.
- Analyze and communicate accounting standards, technical literature, and industry best practices to determine accounting treatment, policy, and relevant disclosure updates.
- Contribute to the development of the financial reporting oversight process, aiming to improve efficiency and scale while maintaining quality.
- Demonstrate business intelligence while working with large volumes of data under tight deadlines.
This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite, especially Adobe. The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BA degree with accounting coursework and a minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting, internal audit, alternative fund administration, or accounting.
Requirements and Qualifications- Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Portuguese.
- At least 3 years' experience in public accounting, internal audit, alternative fund administration, or accounting, preferably within an alternative fund financial reporting group.
- Knowledge of technical and regulatory issues affecting the alternative investment fund industry, including investment company accounting/reporting, US GAAP (ASC 946), and IFRS (IFRS 10).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite, especially Adobe.
- Proven ability to multitask and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
iCapital offers a competitive salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
