We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Test Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test suites for Kafka-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks using Java Spring Boot and Cucumber
  • Implement Shift Left testing principles by integrating testing early in the development lifecycle to identify and prevent defects proactively
  • Develop and execute automated tests using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration with CI/CD processes and maintain testing pipelines

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in test automation, with hands-on experience in Kafka-based applications. A strong background in Java Spring Boot and Cucumber is also required, along with proficiency in Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Requirements:
  • Strong expertise in Shift Left testing practices with a proven track record of early defect detection and prevention
  • Proficiency in performance and load testing tools such as JMeter
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure
  • Experience in CI/CD processes and GIT version control
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
