Logistics Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the automation of our testing processes. The project involves building a logistics data processing and transformation system based on Java and Apache Kafka.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing a robust automation strategy, with a focus on ensuring high-quality software. This will involve working closely with our Test Manager to define the testing scope and lead the automation efforts for the project.
This role requires:
- Defining and implementing test automation strategies for Kafka-based applications and related UI components;
- BUILDING AND MAINTAINING AUTOMATED TEST SUITES FOR BOTH BACKEND AND FRONTEND COMPONENTS, FOCUSING ON TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS: Playwright, JS/TS FOR FRONTEND JAVA SPRING-BOOT, MAVEN, CUCUMBER, KAFKA FOR BACKEND MANUAL TESTING: CONDUCTING MANUAL TESTING (~20%) TO SUPPORT THE TEAM WHEN NEEDED, ENSURING FULL TEST COVERAGE ACROSS THE SYSTEM CI/CD INTEGRATION: INTEGRATING AUTOMATED TESTS INTO CI/CD PIPELINES, ENSURING CONTINUOUS TESTING AND DEPLOYMENT PROCESSES COLLABORATION: WORKING CLOSELY WITH DEVELOPERS, QA ENGINEERS, AND PRODUCT MANAGERS TO ENSURE CLARITY ON REQUIREMENTS AND SEAMLESS INTEGRATION OF AUTOMATION EFFORTS MENTORING: MENTORING OTHER TEAM MEMBERS IN TEST AUTOMATION BEST PRACTICES AND ASSISTING IN CODE REVIEW REPORTING & ANALYSIS: ANALYSING TEST RESULTS, IDENTIFYING BUGS, AND WORKING CLOSELY WITH THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM, ENSURING PRODUCT QUALITY BEFORE EACH RELEASE
Our requirements include:
- 4+ years of experience in test automation, with hands-on experience in Kafka-based applications;
- SHIFT LEFT EXPERTISE: DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN APPLYING SHIFT LEFT PRINCIPLES TO TESTING, WITH A FOCUS ON EARLY DEFECT DETECTION AND PREVENTION EXPERIENCE WITH JAVA SPRING-BOOT AND CUCUMBER PROFICIENCY WITH PLAYWRIGHT EXPERIENCE WITH JAVASCRIPT/TYPESCRIPT EXPERIENCE WITH GIT EXPERIENCE IN DESIGNING, BUILDING, AND MAINTAINING SCALABLE AND RELIABLE TEST AUTOMATION FRAMEWORKS FAMILIARITY WITH PERFORMANCE AND LOAD TESTING TOOLS LIKE JMETER FAMILIARITY WITH CLOUD PLATFORMS LIKE AZURE FAMILIARITY WITH CI/CD PROCESSES EXPERIENCE WITH MANUAL TESTING EXCELLENT PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS, ATTENTION TO DETAILS, AND ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND PROACTIVELY
In return, we offer:
- A basic salary of approximately 60,000 EUR per year;
