Job Overview

At BorgWarner, we are committed to creating solutions that support a cleaner, more energy-efficient world. This requires a commitment to constantly improve the transportation of people and things. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Controller to join our team at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, update and manage cost management systems to achieve target financial performance
• Work with the Product Line Manager to develop responses that ensure long-term yield growth for the production line
• Provide timely notice of all business trends that affect the performance of the business
• Responsible for inventory assessment and timely physical inventory
• Act as a link between finance, logistics, commercial and IT departments
• Participate in the management and leadership of the business

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Economy or Management or related areas
• Accounting knowledge and solid knowledge of national and international accounting standards
• Mastery of tools and methods for calculating and controlling costs
• Solid knowledge of the rules of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
• Good computer skills and fluency in English and Portuguese
