Job Title: Group Tax Manager

Convatec is a global medical products and technologies company, focused on solutions for the management of chronic conditions. We are seeking a highly skilled Group Tax Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the direct and indirect tax operations for the Convatec group, comprising businesses located in over 100 countries.
  • Manage the group tax reporting process, develop in-house talent, and support external advisors with global tax compliance.
  • Play a critical role in the transformation and implementation of a future-focused tax operating model.
  • Develop a varied tax career in a listed multinational environment, supporting ad-hoc projects with business units and the wider tax and finance function.
Requirements:
  • Tax reporting expertise and technical experience in direct tax.
  • Awareness of indirect taxes is desirable.
  • Motivated by delivering change and excited to develop a board skillset across the tax life cycle.
  • Experience of working with multinational enterprises as a client or within in-house tax or finance functions.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Able to manage own workload independently with limited manager supervision.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity, imprecise or incomplete data, and other people's time constraints in requesting information and delivering practical advice.
  • Ability to both manage and work with external advisors.
  • Able to make recommendations and decisions.
  • Willingness to take a hands-on approach.
Education/Qualifications:
  • Accounting and/or CTA qualified.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax accounting under IFRS.
Travel Requirements:
  • The role may require occasional travel to the London Paddington or Lisbon offices.
Languages:
  • Speaking: Yes English.
  • Writing/Reading: Yes English.
