About the Role

As a Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Transactions, you will play a key role in supporting the business of TD SYNNEX by leading the regional Transaction team. You will manage legal issues with a focus on trade practices in IT distribution, working closely with local management teams to advise and train on contract/transactional law. You will participate in or conduct negotiations and transactions on behalf of TD SYNNEX and assist in the defense of the organization in legal action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional Transaction team and manage legal issues with a focus on trade practices in IT distribution.
  • Advise and train local management teams on contract/transactional law.
  • Participate in or conduct negotiations and transactions on behalf of TD SYNNEX.
  • Assist in the defense of the organization in legal action.
  • Support legal compliance activities focused on contract/transactional law.

Requirements

  • Qualified and admitted to the practice of law in the UK.
  • Qualified legal degree from a certified educational institution required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in the practice of commercial/corporate law required or in-house experience in transactional work.
  • Prefers in-house experience.
  • Able to write clear and logical legal briefs, reports, and other documents.
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Able to work constructively under stress and pressure.
  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Able to coach others in the development of their skills.
  • Able to negotiate persuasively and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to communicate legal research information clearly and concisely to others.
  • Able to make sound legal decisions.
  • Able to interact positively and effectively with others at various levels within the organization and outside parties.
  • Able to identify needs and opportunities and develop action plans to address.
  • Able to prioritize workload based on business needs and goals.
  • Able to conduct presentations and training.
  • Very good in business/legal English.
  • Able to conduct in-depth research into applicable laws and judicial decisions and make appropriate recommendations of actions to take.
