**About the Role**
Zendesk Legal is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its world-class legal team. This role will facilitate growth and mitigate risk through support of the corporate function.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of combined corporate and M&A experience, a Juris Doctor degree, and active US state bar membership. They will possess expertise in the M&A process, a comprehensive understanding of key strategic risks and opportunities, and mastery of key negotiation points and market positions for the tech industry.
**Key Responsibilities**
Lead the M&A function for the legal team, foster growth and expansion through acquisitions, and manage risk for the business by negotiating principal deal-related documents.
Realize efficiencies through leading outside counsel and cross-functional diligence teams, advise business leaders on legal and strategic risks, and propose business-oriented solutions.
Work with integrations counsel, the Integrations Management Office, and cross-functional teams to develop realistic and healthy integration plans, and support other post-closing matters.
**Requirements**
