We are looking for an experienced Video Game Localization Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality localized games for global markets. You will work closely with a global project team to verify the accuracy and consistency of translated text, images, and user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global project team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Identify and correct language errors, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and cultural inconsistencies.
- Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines and regulations.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions and recommendations.
- Verify accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation tasks.
- Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Requirements:
- No experience required; fluency in European Portuguese and conversational English skills.
- Strong cultural understanding of the target language and market.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Excel and other software applications.
- Robust Internet research skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, and collaborate within project teams.
