Strategic Director for Technological Infrastructure

**Job Summary:**

Landing, a digital services division of FCT, seeks an experienced Area Director to lead one of its strategic areas. The successful candidate will contribute to innovation and excellence in supporting education, science, and technology in Portugal.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the specific area under your responsibility, aligned with FCT's overall objectives and the needs of academic and scientific communities.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and validate the planning, coordination, and control of all activities (services, projects, plans, budgets, and events) in your area, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with international best practices.
  • Regularly report to General Coordination on your area's management indicators and the development, control, and outcomes of ongoing activities.
  • Participate in meetings and represent the organization at events in Portugal or internationally.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • An MBA or Post-Graduate degree in Management will be valued.
  • A minimum of five years of proven experience in leadership roles.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing technological infrastructures, communication networks, or IT services (preferred).
  • Solid experience in WAN, MAN, WLAN, and LAN network architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.) and network security technologies.
  • Knowledge of digital infrastructure monitoring.

**Salary:** €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
