About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Pedi CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare.

Job Summary

This full-time position is responsible for assisting physicians during operative and invasive procedures, working closely with registered nurses to ensure seamless patient care. With a focus on pediatric patients, this role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring equipment readiness.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to prepare patients for surgery, monitoring vital signs and responding to emergencies.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in surgical instrumentation, technology, and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to hospital policies and standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from a Surgical Technologist program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a perioperative setting, preferably in pediatrics.
