Job Summary
This position performs radiography (x-ray) examinations to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, administering IVs and contrast when necessary, positioning patients, selecting imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of images.

Key Accountabilities
As a Pedi Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Performing radiography (x-ray) exams on pediatric patients while adhering to all radiation safety procedures
- Preparing patients for exams, including explaining procedures and administering medication as needed
- Positioning patients accurately to ensure optimal image quality
- Selecting appropriate imaging techniques based on exam requirements
- Ensuring technical quality of images, including reviewing and re-taking images as necessary
- Monitoring patient data and entering information into our electronic records system
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide exceptional patient care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient exams and treatments

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required; Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required
• Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Familiarity with electronic medical records systems

Working Conditions
This role requires working in a clinical setting with frequent exposure to radiation, lifting and transferring patients, and standing for extended periods. You must also be able to work effectively in a team-based environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently to meet productivity goals and deadlines.
