We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy in Portugal. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving the availability and quality of existing data and creating a high-quality architecture for the sustainable implementation of AI use cases.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, your typical day will include meetings with colleagues in the business who are seeking solutions to data challenges and understanding their requirements. You will work collaboratively with data engineers, data scientists, central functions, and external partners to implement AI use cases. Your role also includes business trips to understand and support local processes.

Your Impact
  • You will work in an interdisciplinary team with data scientists and business professionals to foster a data-driven company culture approach and help implement machine learning and AI use cases.
  • You will support business professionals in use case refinements to identify promising use cases with high business impact.
  • You will be responsible for collection, maintenance, preparation, enrichment, validation, and distribution of data.
  • You will support staff in data acquisition techniques and ensure proper data collection and storage for administrative processes and on-site operations.
  • You will plan and create a suitable system infrastructure for analysis applications.
  • You will design and configure robust data sets and databases.
  • You will maintain and develop existing data infrastructure.
  • You will support conception and provision of a system architecture.
  • You will build up deep knowledge with Snowflake models.
What You Bring
  • You have a university degree in computer or data science or a related field.
  • You have knowledge of Snowflake SQL Scripting, Alteryx, SnapLogic.
  • You have experience in building end-to-end data pipelines.
  • You have experience in data migration.
  • You have intercultural communication and collaboration skills.
  • You have an agile mindset and organizational/planning skills with the ability to work in multiple complex projects.
  • You are willing to travel with a focus on central Europe (~30%).
  • You have very good English skills.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including:
