Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer - Renewable Energy Specialist to join our team at SMARTENERGY Group AG. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the development of green hydrogen and e-Fuels projects.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the development of large-scale industrial projects, focusing on mechanical engineering aspects from early development stages to construction. You will work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and equipment suppliers, to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and Development: Participate in the design and development of green hydrogen plants, ensuring compliance with international standards and local legislative requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, working collaboratively with multiple contractor companies and equipment suppliers.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure design compliance by reviewing and following up on Front End Engineering and Design documentation developed by third parties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: A minimum of 12 years in mechanical engineering and design of large-scale industrial projects, preferably in oil & gas or heavy chemical industry projects.
  • Skills: Experience in working with software for static equipment design (PV Elite, AutoPIPE Vessel, or similar), as well as broad knowledge of key engineering codes and standards.
  • Education: A Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
Benefits

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
