Can you guide the change to renewable energy?Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development > Hub StructureHub module oversees, maintain, and develop the complete Vestas Hub program. The tasks range from structural engineering over to highly specialized FEM calculations, requirements definitions, risk management specifications, certification of components, DFMEA, test planning and execution. Hub Structure is a submodule within the Hub module. We are responsible for the structural design of Hubs, development of structural design software and for updating and maintaining the structural design guidelines and manufacturing specifications among other relevant tasks relevant for the Hub structural design.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate cost-out initiatives ensuring a continuous flow of innovative ideas.Structural analysis FEA for full Hub ModelSupport the submodule owner with review and sign-off of technical deliverablesSupport the submodule owner by coordinating various business critical tasks. i.e.: client meetings, CIM cases resolution, suppliers' initiatives, stakeholder's communicationQualificationsBachelor or master's degree in Structural, Mechanical or Civil EngineeringExperience in the design of steel structures, e.g. dynamically loaded structuresExperience in structural assessments using FEA (Ansys)CompetenciesComprehensive knowledge of FEA software (preferably Ansys)Design experience of large steel structures including certification with relevant entities, i.e.: DNV / TUVKnowledge of design guidelines i.e.: Eurocodes, IEC, IIW, ...Knowledge on following areas: fatigue analysis, dynamic Analysis, weld assessment and bolted joints designAble to understand the impact that a scope change will have on the projectGood communication skills which enable you to convey complex problems to a wide range of stakeholders.What we offerWe offer an exciting workplace with great professional and personal development opportunities in an inspiring, international work environment with a global wind turbine manufacturer.
