Responsibilities will include acting as a primary technical contact for key technical areas, coordinating with stakeholders and colleagues as required, contributing to the planning, design and delivery of IT initiatives, configuring tools to automate the provisioning, testing and deployment of infrastructure, producing and owning system and infrastructure designs, policies and documentation, providing reports and proposals for improvements to colleagues and stakeholders, providing advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools, driving IT Services in the migration towards a code centric model for managing infrastructure, acting as a support escalation point for the 3rd line infrastructure support provider, proactively managing IT infrastructure to minimise business disruption and identify and drive initiatives to improve the quality and effectiveness of the infrastructure services, managing and providing 3rd line support for infrastructure platforms in accordance with agreed service levels, standards and processes, discovering and removing technical debt as part of a continuous improvement work ethic, driving decision making across different teams and disciplines, seeking informed decisions that lead to value-add, quality, appropriate outcomes, driving the adoption of Agile values, principles and practices within IT Services, actively contributing to the development of other team members, embracing change and supporting the IT Services vision and strategy.
