We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Data Analyst to join our Asset Management team at Nordea Bank.

About this opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to inform business decisions and drive growth. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will be an important part of our Institutional and Wholesale Distribution activities, ensuring efficient data management, analysis, and reporting. Your work will directly enable well-informed and data-driven decisions from senior leadership, shaping the future direction of our organization.

Key responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality reports and analyses to support business decision-making;
  • Act as the interface between Sales and Finance to troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies;
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights to various stakeholders;
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision making;
  • Support the implementation of operational improvements through process automation and technological advancements;
  • Develop Market Intelligence capabilities to support senior management and the Sales teams.
About you

We are looking for a patient and determined individual with good organizational skills and attention to detail. You should have high problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to leveraging data and technology to identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will collaborate with different teams across the organization. You should be autonomous and focused on continuously improving processes and workflows, empowering you to take ownership and develop continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Your profile and background
  • A good understanding of asset management processes and workflows (e.g. fees, value of AuM, value of flows);
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis;
  • A Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field from a university;
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel, Power Query);
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI) is an asset;
  • Familiarity with SQL. Any data-oriented language is a bonus (Python, C#);
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
Salary and benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around €70,000-€90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
