Role Overview

As a Network Voice and Services Engineer at 1GLOBAL, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our voice and data network infrastructure. This includes proposing, analyzing, and defining requirements for new and existing services and systems, as well as preparing, designing, testing, and providing new solutions or product changes to our existing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other Networks teams to define and manage projects for delivering new solutions
  • Project delivery, network design, integration, and migration strategy definition
  • Design of new consumer and corporate telecom solutions
  • Creation of technical documentation and maintenance throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Perform implementations in live environments, understanding end-to-end system testing requirements
  • Follow-up and define quality and performance indicators
  • Capacity and performance analysis, reporting, and improvement solution definition
  • Service and resource configuration definition and implementation on requested systems
  • Work on complex solutions influencing current product design and addressing design issues for future products or technologies
  • Close relationship with external partners like carriers and service providers
  • Elaborate and manage change requests to current partners to meet network necessities
  • Control network elements roadmap, responsible for necessary software/hardware upgrades during component lifecycle
  • Generate and implement process improvements, including cross-team processes
  • Successful partnerships with other departments and teams

Requirements

For this role, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a degree in Telecom Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience. You should have proven experience in implementing live solutions on mobile telecom networks, network design, capacity management, engineering, and architecture. Additionally, you should have knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, and ITU standards and specifications, as well as experience in designing, testing, and operating NGN-based networks, including MSS/MGW, HLR/HSS, and SBC.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with SMS service configuration and routing
  • IMS architecture understanding, including IMS nodes and protocol interfaces
  • Knowledge and experience with Diameter/SCTP networks and protocol
  • Experience with protocol analyzer tools like Wireshark and ability to use them to troubleshoot network errors/problems
  • Familiarity with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions
  • Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s) and landscape
