Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization. As a key member of our team, you will own, troubleshoot, and solve complex customer technical issues, acting as an advisor to customers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.

Responsibilities

  1. Response and Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex customer technical issues through effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  2. Readiness: Develop and lead readiness programs, share knowledge through technical coaching and mentoring, and deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve complex customer issues.
  3. Product/Process Improvement: Engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects, develop automation techniques, and create diagnostic tools driving Microsoft product improvements.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 3+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
  • Knowledge of container technology and fluency in Kubernetes
  • Experience with Core Linux administration (boot process, file systems, network device and protocol configuration)
  • Understanding of the Networking OSI model and related concepts
