Job Title: Procurement Team Leader
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Team Leader to join our team at Airbus Portugal. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement commodity activities, including managing or supporting Call For Tenders, contracts management, and query/claims resolution. The role will also involve supervising team workload, liaising with Core Countries management, and coordinating with Managers. Additionally, the candidate will build and sustain a robust relationship with internal customers, work in close collaboration to identify and implement solutions for problems encountered on a daily basis, and support the local procurement HO and commodity or sub commodity HO on special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage or support Call For Tenders
- Contracts management, manage query/claims, including supporting to litigation topics
- Business Strategy definition support
- Supervise team workload in agreement with the Commodity Manager
- Liaise with Core Countries management and coordinate with Managers
- Customer service and relationship
- Project management
Requirements:
- Procurement background and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in a commercial or industrial environment involving tight deadlines
- Experience in escalating issue resolution, team building, training and team support
- Good communication skills, rigor, conscientious
- Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, build strong cross functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to work in a team and independently
- Systems and tools – working knowledge of SAP desirable with a strong desire to develop further
- Languages: English - capacity to interact daily with native English speakers. Other European languages (French / German / Spanish) would be a plus
