Renewable Energy Sector Specialist

Voltalia, a leading player in renewable energies, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth and expansion within the company's second-hand PV equipment sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential growth areas within the second-hand PV equipment market.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to execute the defined strategy, including building up short, mid, and long-term plans.
  • Lead and manage the PV second-hand activity team, defining and onboarding the right resources to grow the business as per the strategy.
  • Ensure safety within your perimeter by applying Voltalia's highest safety standards and promoting a culture of safety to reduce the risk of accidents.
  • Manage facilities related to the activity.
  • Design and implement processes and tools to enable growth and their related implementation and management.
  • Negotiate partnerships for spare parts procurement, identifying, cultivating, and maintaining partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other O&M providers.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with service partners responsible for inverter and component repairs.
  • Create and expand sales channels for Voltalia's refurbished and second-hand solar equipment, targeting diverse markets, including B2B and B2C.
  • Oversee and manage inverter maintenance contracts with customers to ensure quality service and adherence to contract terms.
  • Secure long-term collaborations with clients and follow up financial topics, build budgets, follow P&L, and report results on a quarterly basis.
  • Assess the financial viability of various projects, including sales, procurement, and contract management, using detailed financial models.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Master in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.
  • Experience in inverter or similar devices repairs from the manufacturer perspective.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Experience in handling suppliers.
  • Advanced English reading, writing, and speaking skills (mandatory).
  • Availability to travel abroad for limited periods.
Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a highly competitive salary of approximately €80,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as performance-based bonuses, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive health insurance package.
