Siemens Energy is a leading energy company that specializes in the development and implementation of sustainable energy solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team as part of our Software Engineering & Product Development unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our edge solutions by working closely with development teams, guiding and coaching them on best practices, and coordinating cyber security activities.

Responsibilities

  • Vulnerability monitoring, patch management, and system hardening of edge computing solutions.
  • Supporting and advising development teams on secure software development and system design.
  • Evaluating technical solutions and system architecture for connectivity and edge systems.
  • Acting as a bridge between the global cybersecurity function and collaborating with experts on governance and compliance topics.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity Specialist or similar role in software development projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Linux) and system hardening.
  • Knowledge about norms like IEC62443, ISO27001, NERC CIP.
  • In-depth knowledge about secure development standards and secure coding.
  • A deep understanding of how hackers think and work and ability to keep knowledge of cybersecurity threats and countermeasures up to date.
  • Excellent team working and communication skills.
  • High and matured writing and speaking skills in English.
