Logistics Data Insights Specialist

Phiture is accelerating digital technologies for its global customers by developing new mission-critical products, e-solutions, and digital services in its Porto, Portugal IT Centre. We are seeking a skilled Logistics Data Insights Specialist to support our logistics operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive decision-making and optimize logistics processes.

Your Role

As a Logistics Data Insights Specialist, you will work with large datasets to identify trends, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. Your responsibilities will include:

Data Collection and Management:

  • Gather, clean, and maintain large datasets related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and supply chain performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and data validation checks.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics activities, such as delivery times, transportation costs, inventory levels, and order accuracy.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and recommend process improvements to optimize logistics operations.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and IT, to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in data analysis, preferably within a logistics, supply chain, or transportation environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, Python, R, or other statistical software.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with machine learning or predictive analytics in a logistics context.
