Accounting Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing general accounting activities, including accruals, bookings, reconciliations, and assisting with the month and year-end closing, reporting, and statutory accounts. Your primary goal will be to ensure that accounting transactions are accurately and correctly recorded in compliance with local and international accounting rules, US GAAP, and company procedures.

1. Classify and record all general accounting transactions, including general ledger accounts, bank transactions, and journal entries, to provide quantitative financial information regarding NetJets activity in compliance with applicable laws, fiscal obligations, and NetJets standards.
2. Prepare monthly reconciliations between General Ledger and Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets, resolving accounting discrepancies to guarantee the integrity of NetJets accounts and compliance with accounting procedures.
3. Provide financial statistical information to legal and tax authorities in the UK, USA, Portugal, and other countries.
4. Participate in the monthly and yearly end closing reports by providing accurate and timely accounting data, enabling management to make well-informed decisions.
5. Prepare and control accruals to provide an accurate image of the company's current financial condition and ensure sufficient monetary resources are available to support business transactions.
6. Assist with financial audits and other ad-hoc external requests, interacting with internal and external auditors, to provide necessary financial records and information regarding NetJets accounts.
7. Integrate monthly billing accruals from Billing software into Accounting software.
8. Prepare and control different companies' balance sheet account reconciliations, following up on all identified open items.
9. Assist in the Aircraft inventory bookings and depreciations calculation to provide an accurate image of NetJets Assets and depreciations.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

2-4 years of experience in accounting.

Up-to-date knowledge of local IFRS and US GAAP is an advantage.

Experience in a multinational and complex group of companies is an advantage.

Knowledge of database systems and financial software is an advantage.

Fluency in Business English (written and spoken).

Proficiency in MS Office.
