The VAT team is an integral part of the Finance department, focused on VAT and Indirect Tax compliance for Syensqo entities in EMEA.

As a VAT accountant, you will work in a multicultural environment and have opportunities to learn and grow. You will directly report to the Service Billing, Interco, and VAT Team Leader.

We are looking for someone experienced in EU VAT who is eager to learn and join our diverse team.

The VAT accountant will take on key responsibilities for Syensqo entities in EMEA:

  • Extract reports and documents from SAP
  • Prepare and file VAT, Intrastat returns, and EC-Sales Lists
  • Perform checks and manage VAT corrections
  • Reconcile VAT accounts
  • Check VAT invoice requirements and local tax regulations
  • Validate VAT treatment
  • Support VAT audits
  • Other tasks assigned by the Service Billing, Interco, and VAT Team Leader
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Accounting, Tax, Economics, or Finance Tax Specialization
  • Relevant work experience in VAT
  • Experience with SAP and good Excel skills
