About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to act as an independent accounting expert, ensuring the delivery of all accounting and reporting processes in scope. As a subject matter expert in the team for accounting and tax-related matters, you will be responsible for performing accounting and reporting tasks in line with defined processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform period-end tasks for assigned entities, reconcile and clear accounts, report actuals in the reporting system on time, and meet quality targets.
- Secure compliance according to internal procedures and legislation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for accounting and reporting processes, as well as tax-related matters.
- Support migration projects, including work shadowing and creating work instructions.
- Escalate issues and concerns to the RTR Team Lead and propose remedying actions.
- Proactively assist the RTR Team Lead to identify areas for improvement, lead the implementation of medium- to high-level complexity improvement initiatives, and support cross-process and cross-function cooperation required to achieve overall goals for GBS.
- Drive the resolution of complex queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a mentor for junior team members and backup for the RTR Team Lead.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 8+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
- Experience in industry environments (mandatory).
- Knowledge of IFRS and local standards.
- Experience in tax (direct and indirect) accounting and compliance.
- Strong communication skills, effective presentation skills, and analytical abilities.
- A mature attitude towards challenges and problem-solving.
- Keen attention to detail and hands-on personality.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on your location and experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan matching, and paid time off.
