Job Description

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking an experienced professional to lead our ESG Supplier Risk program. As the Director of ESG Supplier Risk, you will be responsible for advancing BCG's commitment to environment, social, and governance (ESG) standards within our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of ESG supplier risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients to ensure ESG considerations are integrated in procurement processes and supply chain management
  • Monitor supplier performance against ESG criteria and develop regular reporting mechanisms for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leaders on emerging ESG risks and trends that may impact BCG and its supply chain

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with a focus on ESG and sustainability
  • Proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing ESG risk management strategies in a global organization
  • Experience working in a consulting environment or with a professional services firm is highly desirable

  • German language skills (preferred but not required)

What You'll Work With:

  • BCG's procurement function and report directly to BCG's Executive Director of Enterprise Procurement & Payables
  • Collaborate closely with key participants within the procurement team, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with BCG's procurement strategies
  • Interact with other functions including compliance, legal, and sustainability teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to ESG risk management
