Director of ESG Supplier Risk

As the Director of ESG Supplier Risk, you will be responsible for advancing The Boston Group's commitment to environment, social, and governance (ESG) standards within our supply chain.\r
\r
Key Responsibilities:\r
\r
•  Leading the ESG Supplier Risk program to implement strategies to assess, manage, and mitigate ESG-related risks associated with The Boston Group's global supplier base.\r
•  Collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients to ensure that ESG considerations are integrated in procurement processes and supply chain management.\r
•  Overseeing and coordinating The Boston Group's global ESG Supplier Risk Management program, coordinating efforts from a people and process perspective.\r
•  Designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to address identified ESG risks.\r
•  Monitoring supplier performance against ESG criteria and developing regular reporting mechanisms for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.\r
•  Serving as a subject matter expert on ESG supplier risk, offering guidance on best practices and industry standards.\r
•  Staying current with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in ESG risk management and supply chain sustainability.\r

•  Key Skills:\r
•  Evolving and implementing strategic frameworks: Execute The Boston Group's ESG supplier risk management framework aligned with The Boston Group's sustainability goals and client needs.\r
•  Supplier Assessment and Engagement: Oversee the development and execution of supplier ESG risk assessments, including conducting due diligence in accordance with prevailing legislation.\r
•  Risk Mitigation and Reporting: Design and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified ESG risks.\r
•  Stakeholder Collaboration: Interacting with various teams in a globally matrixed business.\r
•  Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in ESG risk management processes, leveraging technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.\r

•  Requirements:\r
•  Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.\r
•  An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is preferred.\r
•  Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with a focus on ESG and sustainability.\r
•  Proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing ESG risk management strategies in a global organization.\r
•  Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.\r
•  Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.\r
•  German language skills (preferred but not required)\r
\r
•  What You'll Work With:\r
•  As the ESG Supplier Risk Director, you will sit within The Boston Group's procurement function and report directly to The Boston Group's Executive Director of Enterprise Procurement and Payables.\r
•  You will collaborate closely with key participants within the procurement team, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with The Boston Group's procurement strategies.\r
•  Location: Lisbon, Portugal
