Responsibilities:- Actively selling and advising customers throughout the shop, with good powers of persuasion and a friendly attitude, as well as being clearly focused on successfully concluding a sale.
- Responsible organisation of your own Shop department in consultation with the Shop Manager.
- Responsible organisation of your own stock area (stock management) in consultation with the Shop Manager.
- Constantly updating/refining merchandise presentation.
- Dressing the shop, the shop window, and the display cabinets in consultation with the Shop Manager.
- Ensuring that quality merchandise is supplied in the correct quantities by passing on to the Shop Manager information from clearance sales and from meeting customer demand.
- Correct implementation of payment transactions.
- Carrying out stocktaking duties.
- Cleaning the shops and stores.
- Increasing guest satisfaction.
- Helping out with sales promotion campaigns.
- Complying with safety regulations; taking part in safety drills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience on board a cruise ship in a similar position required.
- Strong team spirit.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. German is a Plus.
- Any additional foreign language skills are a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.
- Must have very good administrative skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge in MXP / POS is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be service-minded with an outgoing, charming, and friendly personality.
