Salesforce Software Engineer

Capgemini Portugal is seeking a skilled Salesforce Software Engineer to join their team in Lisbon. As a key member of the company's Tech Competence Centre, you will be responsible for developing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other programming languages and frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Salesforce development, with experience in call-center solutions and a solid understanding of Agile methodology. Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to Salesforce development, such as Apex, Java, and JavaScript, is also essential.
As a Salesforce Software Engineer, you will participate in the complete application life cycle, from technical design and architecture to development, testing, and deployment of high-quality salesforce solutions. You will also be responsible for communicating and collaborating with other technical resources, such as architects, admins, and configuration experts, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or computer science, and relevant certifications such as Salesforce Developer 1 and 2, Service Cloud Consultant, and Salesforce Administrator. Strong problem-solving skills, good communication and collaboration skills, and excellent leadership skills are also essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other programming languages and frameworks.
Participate in complete application life cycle from technical design, architecture, development, testing and deployment of high-quality salesforce solutions using coding best practices.
Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources like architects, admins, configuration experts and stakeholders regarding status, risks, and any technical issues.
Apply best practices in your developments and challenge solution designs from other software engineers/developers in the team.
Actively participate to the Agile ceremonies and give constant updates of the evolution of the development of features in the sprint.
Ensure functional and technical health of features developed by your peers by cross-testing among the development team and being involved in all test phases.
Help the support team troubleshoot and deliver quality solutions to bugs raised in production.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in Salesforce development, ideally with exposure to call-center solutions.
Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Developer 1 and 2, Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Administrator, Superbadges)
Solid technical knowledge of Salesforce products (ability to investigate and debug issues)
Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to Salesforce development (e.g., Apex, Java, JavaScript).
Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, experience with Jira and Confluence suitable.
Previous exposure to test automation technologies and best practices is a plus.
Proficiency in English is mandatory.
