Job Description

Clinical Development Data Analyst - Innovation Leader

As a Clinical Development Data Analyst at Amgen Sa, you will play a key role in driving innovation and shaping the future of clinical development data analysis. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing business requirements to design information systems solutions that support Amgen's global development mission and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams, including statisticians, data scientists, and data engineers, to understand business needs and drive system implementation projects.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of clinical development business domains, including CDISC data models, data pipelines, and clinical design & analysis.
  • Serving as a Business Analyst to work with product owners and business teams to continuously build and implement clinical patient data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and systems analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Requirements elicitation to gather business needs and define system solutions.
  • Articulating system approaches to address business needs.
  • Evaluating and adopting groundbreaking AI/ML and cloud technologies to address clinical development business needs.
  • Contributing to shaping the vision and roadmap for the R&D software ecosystem.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Doctorate degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry, computer science).
  • A Master's degree and 2 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Training or education in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Solid foundation in modern software design and engineering practices and business analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding and gathering business requirements and delivering insight.
  • Technical proficiency in Python, R, AI/ML frameworks, relational databases/data modeling, AWS services, Docker, and CI/CD/Gitlab.
  • Experience in Agile product development as a participating member of a scrum team.
  • Ability to collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to deliver functional business requirements.
