Gazelle Wind Power Limited is seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for hydrodynamic analysis, mooring system design, and optimization for FOWT platforms.
About the Role- We are looking for a professional with expertise in naval architecture and offshore engineering, with a focus on mooring system design and analysis.
- You will conduct hydrodynamic analysis and modelling studies to assess the dynamic behaviour of FOWT platforms and mooring systems under various environmental conditions.
- Your role will involve designing and optimizing mooring systems for FOWTs, considering factors such as platform stability, station-keeping performance, and fatigue life.
- You will also perform dynamic response analysis of mooring systems to assess performance and reliability, including dynamic positioning (DP) and vessel motions.
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in naval architecture, hydrodynamics, or offshore engineering, with a focus on mooring system design and analysis.
- Good technical knowledge of aero-hydrodynamic analysis software (OrcaFlex, Deeplines Wind or similar), finite elements software (FEMAP or SESAM).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB.
- Must have a good working awareness of codes and standards in FOW or similar industry.
- Competitive salary range: €2,800 – €4,290 gross per month (based on experience).
- Food allowance: €9.60 per working day.
