About the Role

As a Financial Transactions Specialist at Michael Page, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial transactions and systems. Your primary responsibility will be to perform reconciliation of payments and customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile payments and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
  • Strengthen and grow relationships with customers and stakeholders through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify and escalate slow-paying customers to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, maintaining the trust of our stakeholders.
  • Comply with Group and Local financial requirements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain processes documented and updated consistently, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process, identifying areas for optimization.
  • Request or gather relevant customer information from portals, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Review customer debits for appropriate documentation prior to deduction/payment, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank receivables, payment advises, and Self Billing Invoices.
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via email and telephone, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analysis in relation to A/R for management to gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
  • Solve customer and plant queries, if possible, at first contact, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Develop and report relevant KPI's for area of responsibility, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics or related areas.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Mandatory).
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in German, Hungarian and Polish (Preferred Qualifications).
  • Strong mathematical skills (Preferred Qualifications).
  • Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Prior experience in Financial Share Service Centers (preferential AR - Preferred Qualifications).
  • Solid knowledge in accounting area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Solid knowledge in the use of SAP.
  • Understanding basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
  • Ability to keep company and partner confidences.
