This role is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of all housekeeping and laundry services within the hotel. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional results.
Main Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Collaborating with the Housekeeping Manager to plan and schedule the daily workload of the housekeeping team.
- Providing guidance and support to the housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the necessary resources and information to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.
- Coordinating and supervising the housekeeping team to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Liaising with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
- Ensuring that all housekeeping equipment and supplies are maintained in good condition and that there is adequate stock levels.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional results. Required skills and qualifications include:
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or service industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Fluency in local language and knowledge of English is highly valuable.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- People and customer oriented.
- Management and organizational skills.
- Results driven and focus on detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
