Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing large volume production manufacturing solutions for new electrification products. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing best practices and lessons learned into new designs
  • Leading process standard development, definition, documentation, and deployment
  • Working within Manufacturing Engineering teams multi-regional Global team and plant team
  • Leading production Equipment specifications definition and the associated sourcing process
  • FOLLOWING UP MACHINE PROJECTS WITH EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS FROM DESIGN TO QUALIFICATION
  • BRINGING NEW EQUIPMENT IN PLANT ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATION, TIME, AND BUDGET
  • LEADING SUPPORT PRODUCTION PLANT FOR PROBLEM-SOLVING IN MANUFACTURING
  • LEAD IN PROCESS DOCUMENTATION RELEASE PFD'S, PFMEA'S & PCP'S AND CONTROL PLANS
  • LEAD NEW BUSINESS PURSUIT BY PROVIDING GUIDANCE AND ESTIMATES FOR MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND COST
  • OWNING MANUFACTURING SOLUTION FROM INITIAL BUSINESS CASE TO PRODUCTION
  • LEADING AND DEVELOPING FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS SPECIFICATIONS TO MEET INTERNAL & CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS
  • LEADING THE EQUIPMENT SOURCING PROCESS AND MACHINE SPECIFICATIONS
  • LEADING MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT DEVELOPMENT IN ACCORDANCE TO PROJECT TIMING AND BUSINESS CASE ASSUMPTIONS
  • WORKING WITH BUILD TECHNICIANS ON INITIAL CUSTOMER & VALIDATION SAMPLES
  • ASSISTING IN TRAINING OF PRODUCTION OPERATORS AND MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ON PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT
  • FOCUSING ON QUALITY OF PRODUCTS PRODUCED IN THE PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
  • TECHNICAL LEAD FOR IMPROVEMENT OF OEE - EQUIPMENT OVERALL EFFECTIVENESS AND IDENTIFY PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS
  • MAINTAINING MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE ON ALL EQUIPMENT
  • WORKING IN TEAM ENVIRONMENT WITH QUALITY AND APPLICATION ENGINEERS ON CURRENT PRODUCTION ISSUES AND FUTURE CUSTOMER PROGRAMS
  • IDENTIFYING SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND PROVIDING SAFETY TRAINING ON PRODUCTION PROCESSES
  • TRAVELING TO SUPPLIERS TO MONITOR DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
  • COMPLYING WITH SAFETY, QUALITY, PRODUCTIVITY, HYGIENE, AND ENVIRONMENTAL PREVENTION STANDARDS
  • COMPLYING WITH THE ORGANIZATION'S RULES AND INTERNAL REGULATIONS CODE OF ETHICS, PRACTICE, AND SCHEDULE
  • RESPECTING WORKPLACE SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS RULES
  • RESPECTING AND COMPLYING WITH ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY RULES

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master of Sciences in Mechanical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of Manufacturing Engineering in automotive or mass production environment
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, and AIAG Manufacturing requirements
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, Shainin, or Six Sigma training a plus)
  • Deep knowledge and exposure to some of the following technologies: automatic assembly, screw driving, air leak testing, laser welding, Siemens Step7 PLC control programming, robotics, and vision applications
  • Ability to read, and preferably create, comprehensive mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics using specified software (ex. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Solid understanding of Engineering financials (Cap-Ex Planning and equipment costing)
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the Organization
  • Multi-site or multi-customer experience highly preferred
