Alter Solutions Portugal is a leading provider of IT consultancy services, part of the Alter Solutions Group. We partner with over 120 clients and a team of over 500 people, working on diverse projects across industries such as banking, insurance, transportation, aviation, energy, and telecom.

 

We are looking for a skilled Cryptography and Data Protection Specialist to join our Nearshore IT center. As a member of our security team, you will be responsible for assessing the robustness of designs and data protection mechanisms, defining guidelines for the usage of Blockchain, and collaborating with our cryptographic and data security experts.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Assess the robustness of designs and data protection mechanisms and keys.
  • Define guidelines for the usage of Blockchain within the organization.
  • Collaborate with our cryptographic and data security experts.
  • Project orientation towards the best techniques for data security depending on the case (cryptography, anonymization techniques, masking).
  • Production of POC on data security technologies (full homomorphic encryption, etc.).
  • Perform risk analysis, proposing countermeasures.
  • Definition of security requirements for cryptography & data security (Group scope).
  • Proposals for approaches to inventory of cryptographic assets in the group, and crypto agility.
