Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Risk Advisor to join our team in Lisbon. As a Senior Technology Risk Professional, you will play a key role in evaluating and enhancing the business of our clients.

In this position, you will be part of our account-centric growth strategy focusing on issue-based and competency-driven client needs. You will help our clients achieve their goals by providing expert advice and guidance on technology risk management.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that your teams do the same.
2. Manage multiple client teams, lead IT internal audit engagements, external audit integration, or SOC reporting projects.
3. Assist with business development activities across financial services sectors, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to capture them.
4. Coordinate, plan, and deliver IT audit engagements, SOC reporting, external audits, internal audits, and IT internal controls, focusing on complex banking, capital markets, wealth & asset management, or insurance systems.
5. Work with the team and the client to develop risk assessments, design innovative audit approaches, plan engagement objectives, manage the execution of fieldwork, and draft and deliver audit reports and results.
6. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial services processes and complex information systems, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
7. Use extensive knowledge of the client's business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate their impacts.
8. Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspiring teamwork and collaboration within the team and with clients.

To Qualify for the Role

You must have:
1. Academic education in financial, technological, or analytical fields of study.
2. At least 4 years of experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk advisor for a public accounting firm or professional services firm, or comparable experience as an advisor to a financial services company.
3. Significant experience with internal audit risk assessment, SOX/internal controls, Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting in the financial services sector.
4. Direct audit experience with trading and risk management systems and product ledgers/subledgers.
5. Strong project management skills, including leadership, teamwork, and client service skills.
6. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
7. Excellent leadership, teamwork, and client service skills, demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
8. Full English Proficiency.
