Job Title: Junior Frontend Engineer

About the Role:

As a Junior Frontend Engineer at SkyCell AG, you will play a crucial part in shaping the user experience of our web applications. Your primary responsibility will be to implement clean, efficient, and visually appealing frontend components that align with our design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement frontend components per UX/UI designs, ensuring alignment with design standards
  2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  3. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and other server-side functionalities
  4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to refine and implement design concepts
  5. Maintain digital assets (colours, fonts) and apply them consistently across projects
  6. Utilize responsive design principles for cross-device compatibility
  7. Convert wireframes and prototypes into functional frontend code
  8. Participate in code/design reviews, enforce coding standards and advocate for user experience
  9. Stay informed on the latest frontend technologies
  10. Ensure frontend code meets business and technical requirements
  11. Contribute to process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency
  12. Communicate progress, bugs and other issues to the team leader or manager
  13. Support user research and testing efforts and apply insights to development

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience
  2. Portfolio showcasing user-focused frontend development projects
  3. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and React
  4. Ability to translate UX/UI designs into functional web elements
  5. Strong communication for effective cross-team collaboration
  6. Familiarity with web accessibility standards and UX/UI design principles
  7. Creative approach to problem-solving and design implementation
  8. Language: English
