Abroad Experience is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and experience with financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Execute month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Reconcile general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payments and compliance with tax regulations.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial administration.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
- Assist with financial projects, such as system implementations and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG.
- A completed degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A team player with a proactive attitude and able to work independently.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands. No sponsorship available.
